Classification of plywood

The quality requirements of plywood include appearance grade, size, physical and mechanical properties.

The three inspections of appearance grade, size and physical and mechanical properties are all qualified to judge the product as a qualified product, otherwise it is judged as unqualified. When the plywood leaves the factory, it should have a product quality appraisal certificate from the quality inspection department of the manufacturer, indicating the type, specification, grade, bonding strength and moisture content of the plywood.

(1) Specifications and dimensions of ordinary plywood: The thickness of plywood is 2.7mm, 3.3mm, 4.5mm, 5.5mm, 6m…. From 6mm, it is incremented by 1mm. Thickness from 4mm or less is thin plywood. 3mm, 3.5mm, 4mm thick plywood are common specifications. Plywood of other thicknesses shall be produced upon agreement between the supplier and the buyer.
(2) Appearance grade: Ordinary plywood is divided into four grades according to the visible material defects and processing defects on the plywood after processing: special, first, second, and third, among which, first, second, and third are the main components of ordinary plywood grade.

1.2 According to the adhesive properties;
a. Plywood for outdoor use; b. Plywood for indoor use.
1.3 According to surface processing points;
sanded plywood; b. scratched plywood; c. veneered plywood; d. pre-veneered plywood.
1.4 According to the processing situation;
a. Untreated plywood; b. Treated plywood (eg, impregnated with preservatives).
1.5 Divided by shape;
a. Flat plywood; b. Formed plywood.
1.6 According to usage;
a. Ordinary plywood; b. Specialty plywood.
